a day @ home

We got started early that morning to beat the rain, so we had breakfast to go.

We were on a search for small sticks to build a birds nest.

After spotting Wendy & Brandon heading to the pond we tagged along.

Kase & I headed in to build our nest (way harder than it looks, I have a whole new respect for birds) while Knox chose boating & fishing.

Kase kept instructing me that the nest needed to be round with a hole in it. This was the best we could do.

In order to make his nest rainbow he wanted to try out spray paint. We only had 3 colors to choose from but he was happy with the end result, even though paint was dripping off & it went from blue to orange about 4 times.

As our nest was drying we dyed eggs to fill it. We also did the egg wraps which were more of a hit.

After every egg was placed in the exact spot he wanted it went on display on his little kitchen.

To keep with our egg fun, he enjoyed his lunch out of plastic eggs ( got the idea from Pinterest.)

Not to leave Scotty out in all the fun, he joined us & we ended the night at the play, Clifford the Big Red Dog.

I am learning to love and cherish the little things we do @ home with the boys.
