2nd Glance Saturday: Dr. Seuss

This has been a crazy week in schools & some homes all over the nation due to celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday. Dr. Seuss's birthday is worth taking a 2nd Glance!

Scotty is the Dr. Seuss lover in our house, he chooses these books to read to the boys. I have enjoyed celebrating his birthday with my kids @ school and here @ home. Who else but Dr. Seuss can make up his own words for the sake of rhyming. Kase has begun putting letters together, he sounds them out and then asks me what word he has made. He isn't pleased when I tell him that "jep" is not a word. But in Dr. Seuss world it just may be a word.
We did enjoy celebrating his birthday throughout the week by reading his books,

making green eggs & ham treats,

and celebrating his birthday party with some of our friends.

They also enjoyed watching the Lorax together. Although I think they may have enjoyed all their snacks and treats the most. What's a party and a movie without fun treats?

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

What have you been taking a 2nd Glance

  4. I wonder if Dr. Seuss ever imagined that his birthday would be so popular?
Wanted to share a link above but I think that Inlinkz is a little mixed up. It kept putting the URL where the title of the post should be. So, here's my link:
